February 12 (6:00 - 9:00 pm) Book Presentation: Ricardo León Peña Villa's Gardel novel. Colombian poet and long-time New York resident Ricardo León Peña Villa presents his first novel, Gardel vive en Guarne (Book Press, 2010) At Centro Español - The Spanish Benelovent Society, 239 West 14th Street. February 14 (12:00 - 2:00 pm) Diana Marie Delgado at the Acentos Writers Workshop. The acclaimed hands-on writing series organized by Acentos Foundation welcomes Californian native and writer Diana Marie Delgado.  RSVP is required by sending an email to fish@louderarts.com. February 15 (7:30 pm - 10:00 pm) LouderEDGE with Rich Villar at Bar 13Rich Villar is one of those rare writers who crafts verse with an extraordinary sense of irony, wit and humor. You can’t afford to miss this reading or what promises to be a great night at the louderEDGE especially since we’ll be putting Rich through his paces with the Q&A session that follows his set. February 17 (5:45 pm - 8:00 pm) Latin Poetry Night at Nuyorican Poets Cafe. The Café presents its second annual Latin Poetry Night. Attendees are invited to listen, perform, and experience culture through multiple facets of art, including spoken word, open mic, and rap. Cover is $10. February 19 (7:00 pm) Nicolas Linares and Patricia Rios at Barnes and Noble Lincoln Triangle. Latino Artists Round Table presents a lecture and conversation with Colombia poet and political activist Nicolás Linares as he presents his poem collection Alteración del orden público (2010, vLex). February 20 (6:30pm - 8:30 pm) Speak Up! Speak Out! at El Museo Del Barrio. Edwin Torres hosts an evening of politically-bodified in the old-new lengua school. The poetry of Sandra María Esteves, Urayoan Noel, Guillermo Rebollo-Gil, and Torres is an electrically-charged path into Boricua’s future.
